Net zero developer

Fruition Properties joins a new network for progressive SME developers and housebuilders that are working to deliver quality, net zero housing.

We are delighted to become members of the Good Homes Alliance’s Net Zero Developer Network which aims to facilitate the adoption of enhanced sustainability, quality, health and performance standards for new housing developments.

The importance of tackling climate change means we must all make our homes more energy efficient and less expensive to run. By designing for efficiency and anticipating future technology, we also make it easier for homeowners to reduce running costs and minimise their future environmental impact.

Several of our developments have air source heat pumps, photovoltaics at roof level and innovative insulation solutions installed and we use sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) which is a natural approach to managing drainage in and around properties. We have also used both green and brown roofs on schemes but of course airspace development is the ultimate sustainable way of delivering new housing especially in cities like London. By not demolishing the existing structure but by building upwards we save considerably on the carbon footprint as well as enhancing and preserving the original building.

As we work to deliver net zero housing and meet the net carbon zero targets we are looking forward to sharing best practice and learnings in partnership with organisations such as Net Zero Developer Network.
