Show House magazine talked to Fruition Properties' Financial Controller & Funding Analyst, former Exeter Chiefs rugby player, Mark Foster, on his journey into property.

For their April edition, Fruition Properties Financial Controller and Funding Analyst, former Exeter Chiefs rugby player, Mark Foster was interviewed by Show House Magazine on how he successfully navigated a career path from professional rugby into financial services and the property sector.

Mark explained after playing and coaching rugby for over 13 years and knowing he wanted a good job post rugby he started  working in financial services on his days off from rugby. When he retired at age 32, he was able to focus on his career and continue his professional education studying for his ACCA in his own time.

Despite the challenges of studying whilst working, he later qualified as a Chartered Accountant working in real estate M&A tax in the private equity team at Deloitte before joining Fruition Properties in December 2020. Mark also describes what it was like job-hunting during the Covid pandemic and offers some tips to young people lining up their first job applications and interviews.
