The inspiring Victorian conversion in Notting Hill has been selected in the Interior Design category, with the focus on Apartment One – an expansive three-bedroom duplex spanning 2024 sq ft with two outdoor terraces and feature living wall spanning two floors.
The apartment has been carefully configured to retain its extensive proportions and high ceilings, while being opened up with entire front-to-back views thanks to frameless glass walls internally, ensuring an abundance of natural light. A contemporary specification complements this, with unexpected features such as a passenger lift – a mammoth undertaking given the building’s previous constrained layout. The interior design is as much about the final touches as the carefully considered internal architecture itself.
Monica Khiroya, Product and Marketing Director at Fruition Properties, comments: “Notting Hill has long been revered as one of the capital’s most sought after residential postcodes and with this comes a certain expectation, particularly with new or converted projects. While we have replicated certain items including intricate cornicing and Victorian sash windows, this was not designed to be a like-for-like period restoration but a contemporary transformation that retained the best features while building upon them, with unique outside space that informs the rest of the apartment’s design.
We are absolutely thrilled to have been commended and shortlisted for the British Homes Awards, one of the most coveted awards ceremonies in the design, development and architectural industry.”
Apartment One is now reserved, along with the rest of the development. For further details on the project, in addition to our other schemes, please visit the developments section of the website.
