We are currently recruiting for a Land Intern to work at our London office.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and confident land intern to join our team. You will support the land team in sourcing and analysing new development opportunities as well as driving forward the design on our existing schemes.  As a land intern you will have the opportunity to take ownership of and deliver projects advancing the strategic business goals around automating processes and improving the sustainability of all our developments and help implement this directly across our live deals.

You will be a self-starter, able to communicate effectively and constructively at all levels, equally happy to handle cold calls and undertake independent research as well as write viability reports and deliver presentations to the management team. You will work alongside a focused and ambitious team and will have the desire and potential to progress and grow as the business expands.

This land internship role is open to recent graduates or students in any year of study. The ideal applicant would have an architecture background or a finance/economics background with a strong interest in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach new leads to expand the Fruition Properties’ pipeline of sites
  • Undertake research to drive forward the strategic business goals
  • Support the Development Managers in delivering existing projects and liaise directly with external consultants to ensure effective due diligence when assessing site potential and to inform key decisions on scheme design
  • Liaise closely with key stakeholders, including land agents, existing residents, landowners and other developers
  • Undertake detailed financial appraisals utilising in house databases and systems
  • Help to identify key risks and rewards associated with development projects and investment opportunities

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated track record of academic success
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • You’re flexible and are happy to step outside of your remit in order to make things happen; from time to time you may be required to perform other tasks, which are not included in the above description, but are within your capabilities and where necessary, training will be given
  • You have a ‘growth hacking’ mindset and are constantly improving your ideas based on results
  • You are comfortable working in a small team with big ambitions
  • Previous experience in the sector is welcome and financial modelling experience is a bonus although not a necessary requirement
