Planning approval in Vauxhall SE11

We have been given the green light for a new contemporary development of 15 one, two and three bedroom apartments.

We are delighted to announce that we have received planning permission for our first development in Vauxhall, SE11 – 133 Vauxhall Street, located just 300 metres from the River Thames. The site, which was previously the Rising Sun Public House, currently comprises six residential units, which will be replaced by a collection of 15 new-build apartments, including an expansive three bedroom penthouse and communal roof garden.

The existing premises will be demolished and replaced with a new six storey block providing contemporary one, two and three bedroom properties, each with a private balcony or terrace. The focal point of the development will be the communal roof garden, spanning 2583 sq ft and comprising distinctive areas for different activities, with a mixture of soft landscaping and seating. Raised planters and hedges will provide screening to ensure residents benefit from complete privacy while using this outdoor space. The entire development is car free, with cycle storage provided at basement level.

Thanks to an intelligent design, the apartments will enjoy open plan layouts, maximising the flow of natural light synonymous with many of our other schemes, while retaining well though-out space, stylish design traits and an outstanding specification. The site will achieve Secure by Design (Section 2) and will be constructed with a fabric first approach to sustainability, ensuring strong thermal performance, complemented by features including high efficiency boilers, a Sustainable Urban Drainage System and solar photovoltaic panels. Through this combination of measures, there will be a 35% reduction in carbon emissions over the level required by Part L of the Building Regulations (2014), with the new homes also meeting Lifetime Homes’ standards where feasible.
