Air rights planning approval in Putney

Our first planning approval for an air rights development above a residential block of apartments.

We are delighted to announce that we have been granted planning approval for four, one and two bedroom penthouse apartments on an existing block of flats at Upper Richmond Road in Putney, SW15. The application was our first successful permission for air rights, which demonstrates our planning expertise as well as our capability to work with joint venture partners and existing occupiers to achieve a positive result.

The construction process itself will be a somewhat sensitive and delicate process as we will be filling the roof space whilst the residents are still living beneath. We will work closely with the residents to agree on a mutually beneficial process to minimise the impact on them in order to keep not only the residents happy, but also the local authority and neighbours.

It once more demonstrates our planning expertise and construction capability which allows us to add value to existing properties and build above occupied buildings – we have previously converted and added floors above a restaurant site and a public house. This is the first time that we have successfully obtained air rights planning permission above a residential block of flats, within a conservation area, and we hope to be able to replicate this success on other similar sites.”
